Yoga can’t provide a chiropractic adjustment!

Yoga can help to move the body’s micro-muscles and even expel air from the joints (a sound similar to a chiropractic adjustment), but it cannot provide an expert body adjustment. The individual’s unique bodily structure must be considered when adjusting the bones and joints correctly, a job for which only an expert chiropractor is suited.

Chiropractic treatments require the correct technique, direction, and force to guarantee that the result is beneficial rather than harmful to the body. Yoga can’t provide a professional adjustment to bones and joints because it doesn’t target them directly, and the positions, angles, and degrees of each pose may not be sufficiently customized for each individual’s needs. If bones and joints are “adjusted” (moved) during yoga exercise, there’s no assurance that they’ll be shifted in a way that is more congruent with the spine’s natural form.
