Patient Forms
We will request that you complete our patient form which can be located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition. You can opt to do this beforehand by downloading the file and bringing it with you.

Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with a chiropractor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for us to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

Examination
After your consultation, the chiropractor will perform a complete physical examination including standard neurological, orthopedic, postural and chiropractic specific tests. The chiropractor may ask you to dress down if deemed appropriate for the examination. Medical gowns will be made available to you at this time. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

Further Studies
Depending on your specific condition, we may refer you for extra testing including imaging such as X-rays.

Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, the chiropractor will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:

  • How can you help me?
  • How often do I need to come in?
  • What will my treatment cost?
  • Are there any risks involved with treatment?

After reviewing your health history, goals, and physical examination, the chiropractor will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. You will be walked through a complete plan of management, which shows you what will be done for you, and importantly what you need to do for yourself to ensure optimal results.

Treatment
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you may experience your first treatment if it is deemed appropriate. This may include joint adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.

The “At Home” Program

Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest that you incorporate activities and plans of action outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and home exercises and/or stretches. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized plan. The purpose of this is that you continue to heal between each treatment session.
